Decide to try

Don’t try, do.
That’s one of the most famous Star Wars quotes.

There is value in that.
But…
The importance of trying is not to be underestimated.

Doing is certainly important.
But trying is just as important, if not more.

Without trying there is no doing.
Without trying we would not learn, or grow.
Without trying innovations and progress would be challenging.

Doing is important. But trying is also vital.

If you’re stuck, have been struggling to move forward, haven’t achieved in life what you want to achieve, the first step to take is to determine what you can do to move forward.
The second step is to try that out.

Too often people don’t even take the first step, let alone the second.
Nothing happens until you actually do something, anything, about it.
Nothing happens until you decide to try.

Trials and errors are an important part of progress. So don’t shy away from them.

Next time you feel a bit stuck or anytime you decide to move forward on something, try these five steps:
Figure out your next step(s).
Decide to try.
Try.
Take stock of what you’ve learnt to determine your next steps.
Rinse and repeat.

Make a decision.

Decide to try.
