Why you need to be selective of the people you have in your life

The people in your life have a huge impact on you, and your life.
When the people you have in your life are good, your life will usually be good.
Conversely, when you have bad people in your life, the quality of your life will be bad.

You don’t have to take my word for it, you can try it yourself – just spend some time around good, happy, positive people. Notice how they impact you.
Nearly every time you will notice that they uplift you. They leave you feeling good. In the same way being around negative, pessimistic people can (and does) bring you down.
Ever wonder why you like being around funny, happy, positive people vs moany, negative people? This is why.

We instinctively like being around good people, because they help us feel good.
The irony is, most people are surrounded by more bad people than good. So there is little wonder why so many people don’t have a good quality of life.

The people in your life are most certainly not the only determinants of the overall quality of your life, but they are a damn important one.
Having good people can help you see the light at the end of the tunnel faster and easier than not having any.
Having good people can help you get perspective and move on with your life, no matter how bad things may seem at the moment.
Having good people motivates and inspires you to do big things, and embark on grand journeys.
Having good people helps you grow and improve, and stretch your comfort zone.

There are way too many ways the people in your life impact you, and your life.
And way too many benefits of surrounding yourself with good people.
So guess what is a good idea to do if you want to improve your life…?

On that note, here are three questions to get you thinking along these lines:
Who do you have in your life right now?
How are they influencing you, and the course of your life?
Are these people impacting your life positively, or negatively?

Life is short – so it’s important to make the most of it.
And a big part of that starts with the people you have around you.
Be selective of the people in your life.
